This policy explains what information Adam Watson Photo ("I", "me") collects through adamwatsonphoto.com, how it is used, and who it is shared with. I keep it to what is actually needed to show and sell race photos.
I don't use analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies on this site. On galleries where photos are for sale, the photos you add to your cart are kept in your browser's session storage so the cart survives a page refresh. That data stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
The services that host the site and photos (listed below) may automatically log technical information such as your IP address and browser type, as most web hosts do.
Payments are handled by Stripe on a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Stripe collects the details needed to process your payment, such as your name, email address, card details and billing information, under its own privacy policy. I never see or store your full card number.
From Stripe I receive your name, email address, the photos you bought, the amount paid, and limited card details (brand and last four digits). I use this to:
I only use your email address for your order and for replying to you. I don't send marketing emails and I don't sell or rent your information.

Links on this site to Instagram, Venmo and similar services lead to third-party sites with their own privacy practices.
If you email me, I receive your email address and message, and I use them only to respond to you.
Download links expire seven days after purchase. Order records, including your name, email address and what you bought, are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
Race photos are taken at public events. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed from the site, or you are the parent or guardian of a minor who does, email me at email@adamwatsonphoto.com and I will take it down promptly.
You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing email@adamwatsonphoto.com. I may need to keep some order records where the law requires it. Stripe and my other providers keep their own records under their own policies.
Card payments are processed by Stripe, and download links are private, time-limited links created for each order. No method of storing or transmitting data is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect the information I handle.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and purchases are intended to be made by adults.
If I change this policy, I will post the updated version here and change the date at the top.
